About Federico

Finding Inspiration in Every Turn

Federico Paciotti (Rome, 1987) is a tenor and guitarist.
Raised with a passion for rock and opera, he is an admirer of the great voices of "bel canto"
singing such as Franco Corelli, Luciano Pavarotti, Mario Del Monaco, and Jonas Kaufmann, and of legends of the
guitar such as Jimi Hendrix and Steve Vai.
Since childhood he has nurtured the dream of uniting two seemingly distant musical worlds into one project in which
which the sound of rock guitar marries perfectly with opera singing.

His career officially started when at the age of 13 with the pop band Gazosa he won Sanremo 2001 in the
“Newcomers” category
.
Following this experience, Federico sees fit to continue studying and decides to perfect himself
also in opera singing by enrolling at the Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome, an institution of great prestige
and rigor, at which in 2018 he graduated as a tenor. Meanwhile, he plays one of the seven
male roles in the opera “La Divina Commedia,” a massive theatrical production whose music is
composed by Marco Frisina and which is staged for 80,000 spectators in 7 months between Rome, Milan and Reggio  Calabria.
In the following years Federico Paciotti has the opportunity to participate in some particularly prestigious events:
in 2013 he is one of the 5 soloists of “The Pearls of Santa Cecilia” trying his hand at “Tra Voi belle, brune, bionde”
a piece from Giacomo Puccini's Manon Lescaut.

Then he is one of eight tenors performing with the
Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Maestro Tomomi Nishimoto in two concerts held in the Basilica
St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican and in St. Paul's Basilica
.
In 2014, he was one of three tenors selected from all international music academies to perform at the
prestigious Liszt Academy in Budapest and later at the Luzhniki Auditorium in Moscow. During the same
period he collaborated with Maestro Rolando Nicolosi, an opera legend who has worked with the most
opera's greatest artists including Schipa, Callas, Domingo and Pavarotti.
It's time to try to fulfill childhood dreams by combining opera and rock in a unique and
particular mash-up.

When Caterina Caselli hears Federico's new project, she decides to pair him with the
Italian producer and composer Celso Valli and American musician and composer Simone Benyacar for
the making of his first album, Rosso Opera
, on which they will work for two years. Among the songs rearranged
and recorded in the studio stands out an extraordinary duet with internationally renowned tenor Ramon Vargas on the
notes of “E Lucevan Le Stelle” (“Tosca,” G. Puccini).

In 2015 Federico was a guest at the Sanremo Festival, where he performed two of the most famous operas by Giacomo
Puccini: “E Lucevan le Stelle” and an instrumental guitar version of “Nessun Dorma.”

Afterwards, he participated in the evening “Arena di Verona - Lo spettacolo sta per iniziare” presented by Paolo
Bonolis and broadcast on "Canale 5": he performs “Nessun dorma” guitar and voice in a new version enriched
by the Santa Cecilia Choir.
In summer 2015 he is on stage again, in Parma, Spoleto, Rimini and Milan, for the format “La dolce vita - The
music of Italian cinema,” with orchestra conducted by Steven Mercurio.
A few months later he performed in the concert organized by the Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome for the
charitable foundation chaired by Kathleen Kennedy, who manifests on several occasions her
enthusiastic appreciation for Federico's music and interpretative style.

While he completes the recordings of her first solo album, in 2016 she participates in other
prestige: in June at “Con Il Cuore,” presented by Carlo Conti live on Rai1 from Assisi, she performs for the
first time “Mater Misericordiae.” The song, produced by Simone Benyacar, is a special
reinterpretation of the intermezzo from P. Mascagni's “Cavalleria Rusticana,” whose lyrics, inspired by the theme
of mercy and compassion, combines some passages from “Salve Regina” and “Ave Maria.”
In July 2016 Federico Paciotti is again expected on an important stage in Rome: that of “Music For
Mercy,” an international event organized by UNESCO at the Imperial Forum as part of the Jubilee.
